VG vs PG/VG

VG is Vegetable Glycerin, and PG/VG is 50/50 blend of Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin.

VG-based liquids are slightly smoother on the throat hit, and produce more vapor. PG is generally a harsher throat hit, with less vapor. PG/VG blends provide a nice compromise between the two liquid bases.
